ANITA CLARK

With over sixteen years of legal experience, Anita Clark works as a Practice Leader for The Consensus Group, the consulting practice of Sanchez Hayes and Associates, LLC.
Anita assists employers in the investigation, assessment, management and resolution of employee complaints of discrimination, harassment and unfair treatment. Anita has handled over 1000 employment discrimination claims on behalf of fortune 100 companies before EEOC and FEPA offices nationally. To assist employers resolve such matters early and economically, Anita works directly with State and Federal investigators on behalf of her clients, drafts the employers’ written responses, and she prepares personnel for fact-finding and onsite investigations conducted by the EEOC. Anita also assists employers in resolving these matters via mediation and settlement discussions to reduce costs associated with litigation. Anita further assists employers in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts and documents, such as, Severance Packages, Confidentiality Agreements, Non-Compete Contracts, and Employment Handbook Development and Maintenance.
Anita received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Georgia, in 2001. She served as a Managing Editor and as a member of the Editorial Board for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law from 1999 through 2001. Her note, The Extradition Proceedings Against General Augusto Pinochet: Is Justice Being Met Under International Law, was published in Vol. 29, No.1, Fall Issue 2000 of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. Anita also received her Bachelor of Arts in English, Cum Laude, from the University of Georgia, in 1998. Anita graduated as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and Golden National Key Honor Society.
Anita is married with two children and is involved in her community. Anita has a combined total of over 12 years volunteering in her community as a Sunday school teacher, as a Board Member for the Jonesboro Housing Authority, as a Board Member for her neighborhood Homeowners’ Association, as an attorney coach for the Georgia High School Mock Trial Association and as a teacher of United States Citizenship classes. Anita is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Fayette County Bar Association.
